what we do

Hereford Amateur Pantomime Society

‘The object of the Society is to provide members with the opportunity to make public perforamces of a show (or shows) of their choice and in consequence, raise funds which may be disbursed to charitable causes.’

So say the members rule book! The Society has, in fact, raised large amounts of money for many local charitable causes over the last twenty years. It has acheived this by putting on an annual pantomime, during half-term week, in February.

H.A.P.S. was formed from a group of former WIGGIN PANTO GROUP members. This group was disbanded when facilities at Wiggin Alloys became unavailable - It was a very successful group and has a memorable HISTORY attached to it.

Patrons of the Society pay a minimum of £5 per annum which will entitle them to advance booking vouchers for any of the Society’s productions; They will also be kept informed of the latest news of the Society.

If you would like to become a Patron of the Society you will find a list of current Patrons and Life Members, together with application details if you CLICK HERE.

The Society is always glad to receive help behind the scenes - Each production depends heavily on the Backstage crew and the Front of House team.

The Society encourages families to join since we can always find something for willing helpers to do if they do not wish to go on the stage. Apart from ‘Backstage’ and ‘Front of House’ there are children to be supervised and helped, ‘make-up’ help is always appreciated, props have to be made and organised during the show, costumes attended to and made - we can always find something for you!
